    Remove IE6

Hi I was wondering if is was possible to remove all of the IE6 application and just have IE7 in a XP Professional environment. Would this be similar to removing IE from the Windows 2000 HFSLIP guide, or does XP still rely on parts of IE6 for the CP installtion. Just a thought. Would be interested if this was possible or not.

    IE7

Thanks Tomcat76 for the reply. What I meant by it? "All the correct entries are in the registry, but it never starts." Is that runonceex does not execute, but all the entries are in the registry for runonceex. I did notice that the "TITLE" subkey gets removed. I have just checked my HFANSWER.INI and I haven't entered IE7SVCPACK=1 I don't have an IE7SVCPACK= entry my HFANSWER.INI. Could this possibly cause any problems? But IE7 does install at the first GUI logon. Maybe I should run the IE7 installation from runonceex as the last application to run, after all the other applications have been run from runonceex. Anyway thanks for the help.

    IE7

Hi I am using the latest version of HFSLIP 1.2.1 and having trouble with runonceex. All the correct entries are in the registry, but it never starts. I found the following comment on a web site regarding IE7. IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe When you add this through Hotfixes for a XP Installation it disables the Runoncex completely. Can somebody confirm that this an issue?

    HFNETCHK

I am running hfslip v61118. Installing XP SP2 I am unable to run runonceex for installing my registry fixes and applicaions. Had the files in the appropriate directories, $OEM$\$1, without success. I have also tried by coping the .reg and .cmd file in the HFSVCPACK directory without any success. I also used the RunOnceEx.cmd creator v2.6.1.0 RX3 to create the .reg file. Thanks for any help. Everything else works fine. wu.txt cmdlines.txt runonceex.cmd HFSLIP.zip
  6. I am having trouble getting this hotfix slipstreamed. Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807) (English version) I have slipstreamed SP2 and these hotfixes in the following order Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB905756) Security Update for PowerPoint 2003 (KB916518) Security Update for Word 2003 (KB917334) Update for Office 2003 (KB907417) Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807) (English version) Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB917149) When I have completed the installation of Office 2003 and run the MS Office update it says that the Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807) (English version) needs to be installed. Can some one point me in the right direction on this please.
  7. Thanks for the help. I have successfully slipstreamed all the hotfixes for XP SP2 even the newer ones. I used the "Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer 2.0" to analyse the system and it has reported that all the hotfixes have been installed. This was all stipstreamed with version hfslip_60528. Great program. Now that is required is to get rid of that WGATray.exe. Would it be possible to integrate this into the next version. I have read on several web sites that what is required is to rename wgatray.exe, winlogon.dll. Thanks again for the help
  8. I have used the lasted version of HFSlip and it looks as though some updates are not being slipstreamed. Have attached required files install.zip
  9. Hi Is this still available to download. Says site is unavailable
