  1. I will build a oem=yes cd some time later on....right now its not worth it.... winxp sp2 detects nearly everything...and if the f*** admin wants the newest drivers he can do it himselfe.... (I seriously dislike him) the compaq armada I had here last week did not not do anything at 1024 or above..... my workstation got DVD+-R/RW ...no problem...I did build it myselfe after all...but the laptops are sometimes happy to have a CD-rom 2x speed....got me? your link helped.....THX for that....
  2. a lot of different laptops....reaching from P2 233 to Centrino 1.6gh different graphic cards, network, display size and so on.... why remove the autologon ? well.....all laptops get added to different domains later on....but the admins dont want to give me the rights to add PCs to their domains....oh well...so they get a default workgroup and its their "most important and time consuming" part to do these few mouseclicks. well most laptops can do 1024x768...true...but better save than sorry....and a lot of LCDs dont like anything else than 60Hz
  3. THX I think I found it: AutomaticUpdates=no UnattendSwitch=yes sorry seems I overlooked this page....well I guess it happend to a lot of noobs in this forum. I will test it tomorrow....and there goes an other cd-r media :-)
  4. I slipstreamed SP2 into winxp pro corporate manually (after discovering a nlite bug with usb sticks ) then I created a winnt.sif file with setupmgr.exe and put it into the i368 folder creating a bootable image was no problem either the winnt.sif looks like this(I removed key and links): installation stops and asks for PC name and admin pass....this is on purpose. but after the reboot it stops again....asking me to enter a username or more, detecting net, asking if I want to register (no) B) I would like it to just ask for computer name, admin pass and nothing else...it should use this local admin account and boot and login with it until changed manually. did I forget something in this file? or du I have to edit an other file as well? just in case you wonder for what I need this cd....setting up laptops....each has to get its own admin pass and computer name THX in advance
