I'm not asking how to remove the watermark. I was asking if it displays during fullscreen videos and fullscreen gaming for anyone else?

It seems to work differently for different people. One time I had no watermark, and everyone else had one. Currently I have watermark on both monitors, but not on full screen videos. I can't tell you about gaming, though.

I have watermark on both displays too, but not on full screen videos or games. I'm not sure why some people are getting it on videos and games.

  2. Some features that would be cool to see in the GUI tool are: an option to enable blur on taskbar (instead of making the cmd file and vbs file on startup), option to install unsigned themes dlls, fix the ability to set custom glass colors (in win10 10586 you can't set custom colors in the gui tool, only in legacy personalization colors settings), and the option to match title bar colors to the taskbar (currently this has to be done in legacy colors settings by lowering brightness.) And also, if possible, a way to change the glass colors of start, action center, etc. so that everything matches. Stray observation: when setting a custom color with aerogui tool, the one-pixel barrier and taskbar do change to the custom color, but the title bars, start, action center, etc. don't.

Also, i noticed on your website you had aero enabled on the taskbar. Is there any way do this without a program like classic shell?

Sure, if you want blur follow instructions here

Thanks, worked but there is a problem. I can't change the color of the taskbar using this code. the taskbar stays the same color, can't change it in aerogui tool or personalization. color is too bright and does not match start, action center, or title bars. any suggestions?

Log out, then log back in again. Also, make sure you are in legacy color personalization.
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization\Color and Appearance

Thanks, got the taskbar color matching the other colors! In this build of w10, you can't access the legacy colors from that file path. The only way i could get legacy color settings is with Personalization10 from winaero. And the taskbar sometimes flashes btw aero and solid, but that is probably a bug in the aero DLL. Cheers!

  5. Using beta 506 on Windows 10 TH2 build 10586, working great no breaking bugs, and very stable. I've included my log in case you want to look. I don't know if this is a bug, but in modern apps the icon for the app does not show in the upper left corner (see screenshot.) Hold the CTRL key during whole booting procedure. It is not enough to press it continuously, it must be hit exactly when DLL is loaded into DWM.exe which happens some time between the bootlogo is hidden and login screen is displayed (thus it is better to hold it all the time :-)). If it does not help, then the problem is not caused by Aero Glass. If it help, then send us minidump file and debug.log.

That did not help, must be something else.

  7. bigmuscle, i found a way to get the blur back in the taskbar in windows 8.1 update 1. i use startisback, and what i have found is that when you disable taskbar transparency in startisback config, the taskbar blurs just like the windows. don't know if it's a reg setting or what, but i thought it might be helpful. i am using the debug version of dwmglass.dll

  8. Why do user try it on Preview version of Win8.1 when it is stated that it is intended for Win8.1 RTM and build 9600 only

Bigmuscle, the windows 8.1 alpha is running well in VMware. There is a glitch with windows photo viewer, as seen in the photo. also, the glow file that you provided makes the window titles distorted. maybe because I'm using build 9431. Other than that, it is working great. I'll upgrade my main machine to 8.1 once you release the final aero glass for windows 8.1. Great work!

Yeah, I haven't upgraded my vm to build 9600 yet, but i'll be sure to do that when I have time. That's probably why I have so many glitches, like the glow.bmp not working.

  10. How do I get the glowing window borders? I tried making a customthemeresource string value in HKCU\software\Microsoft\windows\dwm with the win8RTM_glow filepath, and I don't have glowing window borders. what am I doing wrong?

What is a glowing window borders? May be you mean glowing caption buttons?

Never mind, I figured out you need a special theme for that.

  11. Final version for Win8 and (private) testing preview for Win8.1 will be available in a few days. Just be patient and do not post any cracked software here (and WB does not provide real glass effect thus it should not be discussed here either).

I have a few high end and low end machines to test windows 8.1 glass

preview on, let me know if I can help.

    Oops, double post!

  13. Hi, Bigmuscle. I am new to this form. I am using the latest preview of you're software, and I cant figure out how to ajust transparency levels. I went to the registry and changed the glass transparency value to 200, and nothing happens. am I not doing something right?
