  1. Thanks for the help, I have it up and running now. On ordering from MS - the web page says 4-6 weeks. Even if it was just a couple of days, the time I have to play with this is over the holiday. Ordering was a last resort. On unpacking the files - thanks, I thought there might be a trick like that - I did unpack it and build a CD. That said, while it took a bunch of files from the CD I built, some were not packaged the same and in the end I guessed and put CD1 back in (before the post explaining that) and it did work. thanks again! tom
  2. I bought a legal OEM copy of XP MCE 2005 to play with the TV stuff and right in the middle of the install (a few minutes after it requests CD 2), it asks for XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD to be put in. I don't have the CD. The first time I tried this, I cancelled out and ended up with a brain damaged install. No networking or IE, for example. At first I just thought it was the ASUS/3COM GigE driver, but adding the driver made it see the interface, but it didn't have TCP/IP associated with it. After this I tried burning the .exe XP SP2 distribution and installing that on the machine. This did install a bunch of stuff, but the brain damage seemed to be the same. Could someone point me to a downloadable XP SP2 .iso so I can burn that? thanks - tom
