  1. Hi TomCat Thanks for your reply. Yes, have checked that and the WEP codes are in Hexadecimal...hmmm..could it be that Win98 cannot support 128-bit WEP? Thanks!
  2. Hi everyone Would be appreciative if anyone could provide some help on the following problem: I have a network made up of an SMC7004AWBR wireless router and 3 computers. One PC (Windows XP) is connected via a wired connection to the router, the other PC (Windows 98) has a wireless connection using a Linksys wireless client and a notebook (Windows 2000) connected wirelessly. Both 128-bit WEP and MAC filtering on the router is active. The problem I have is that I cannot access the internet from the Window 98 PC (although the PC can display the SSID of the router). I do not have any problems connecting to the Internet using the Win XP and Win 2K computers. I have also checked that the WEP and MAC codes all tally. What can be the problem? Could it be that Win98 does not support 128-bit WEP? BTW, I have also switched the Linksys wireless client with a Prolink one and am still experiencing the same problem. Am at wits end...anyone any advice, please? Thanks!
