  1. hi all, I want to make a customised XP install CD that does not support usb storage devices but supports usb human interface devices. I have tried manually deleting all references to usbstor.sys from the install CD using nlite and ultraiso, however any such image fails to boot up. my aim is not to remove usb storage support after installation as that can be done with third party tools and through group policies. rather I want to make an XP version that does not even recognize usb storage devices. i want to do this because all third party tools and GPO based settings can be undone by a powerful enough virus ,but any virus cannot do what the native OS itself cannot do. so i want to disable usb storage support in the OS itself. can someone please tell me how to achieve this. this involves removing support for a driver in such a way that during install process, the XP either ignores asking for this driver or installs a null / dummy driver. regards ak
