Actually, these registry entries do appear to have taken effect even though I didn't reboot my system! I removed the recent docs, recent docs history, help function, ... from the start menu and I noticed a few minutes ago that these are now gone. Weird, guess I'm running a windows system(?) I'm on windows 2000 professional 5.00.2195 service pack 3. Or maybe these do after all not require a reboot to activate but somehow windows was dead slow??? May sound weird but sometimes it seems like you have to "shake" windows into action. I've removed some other outdated system info like the shell, new files... and the incorrect software installation list. Huh, long live windows, where's my Longhorn!!!??? Or should that be some penguin?
