  1. I am looking for a way to force windows setup to look inside of a subfolder for its data to proceed with installation. Right now, it is prompting me for drivers because it is assuming that in order to access the data, it needs drivers. However, I just moved the installation files into a separate subfolder, and it can't find them. I am currently attempting to create a multi-boot external hard drive to install windows from. When complete, you will be able to boot up installers for Windows 7, Vista, XP (all editions), and Ubuntu. You will also be able to boot up the ultimate boot cd, a Linux LiveCD and BartPE. I have modified the boot configuration data file to point to this new folder for the 7 installer, and it boots up correctly. However when I get to the part when it starts looking for installation files, it stops there. Once I have a clue what i'm doing, I will share what I know so we can all benefit from this, but seeing as this isn't quite working yet, making a guide would be pointless. If you have any information that could help me change the point that the installer looks for files for Windows Vista (i'm going to assume it is the same) or XP, it would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.
  2. I should have stated that I am using this software as a base for actually installing windows. However the windows installer asks for drivers to access installation media (most likely a flash drive) and I am unable to find them. My best guess at this point is now that they are not on the disc, and windows is simply seeing new installation media when presented with an installation disc.
  3. When booting from a flash drive, with your installation on a partition that is not your primary partition on your flash drive, the windows 7 installation will prompt you for the location of usb drivers. These exist on the installation dvd, and I know this because windows was able to find the files when it searched the disc. Windows also doesn't ask for these when booting up off a drive made directly with this software, however I am attempting to take this software another step and allow for booting of multiple discs off of one large flash drive. The details of this plan will lie with me unless they are needed, but just know that I need to know what file windows is asking for in terms of drivers to access the flash drive for data. I welcome your response.
