  1. Success! Found a compatible driver after using SIV to identify the vendor for the Wireless adapter (Micro Star International). Thanks so much for the help jaclaz! Phil
  2. jaclaz, You're right, MDG basically re-brands computers here in Canada, there is very little support/specs for them online. I believe this one is a 2nd generation Intel Clamshell netbook. There is a model number on the bottom, E09E16. Here is a screen from USBView.... and Device Manager, List by Connection... Phil
  3. Also, here are the devices listed in Everest, a program i used to get some specs from the netbook. This is the one thats confusing me... It's a MDG Mini Rugged Netbook Being that it's an older model, there doesn't seem to be a page on the MDG site. Not sure about these ones, if you'd point me to where I can get that info for you, I'd gladly post it. Phil
  4. I have recently installed Windows XP Home SP3 on a MDG Netbook using the USB-drive method described on this and other websites. I used the HP USB Format Utility and WinSetupfromUSB, and after some hours of frustration it installed successfully. My issue now is with some of the integrated hardware, specifically the Wireless and audio devices. When I open Control Panel-System-Hardware, they appear like they are USB devices. I have tried downloading and installing drivers for the WLAN (Broadcom I believe, it's a Intel Atom N270 motherboard) but with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if more information/details is needed, I will gladly provide what I can. Phil
