  2. i'm looking to connect my monitor screen up to my tv but don't know how as i'm a beginner at this. i've got a Radeon 1800 xt and an crt TV with scart and RCA slots. anyone can help? i remember trying to do it a while ago with a vga to S-video cable (if i remember correctly) but it never worked, plus the cable wasn't long enough so it was hard to keep it in place. any help would be appreciated
  3. i did uncheck it, but it just stayed on the laptop screen and the external monitor was blank. and yes, i do want to use the external monitor instead of the laptop one, what is image cloning? i'm not sure what gpu it has.

I'm trying to connect my dell monitor (dell ultra sharp 1704 fpv) to my laptop and using it as my default monitor. however, it doesnt seem to work. i have managed to extend my screen onto the monitor but unable to use the monitor just on its own. I'm using xp home edition atm. the software installed default is the Intel® 82852/82855 Graphics Controller Family. please help?

I have tried using the RCA to S-Video to connect it to my tv, but my computer won't detect the TV. what should i do? i have a ATI Radeon x1800xt 512mb AMD x4200 dual-core 1mb ram sony SDM-HS95P 19" 2 x Raptors i have a goodmans TV, analogue. it has a scart connector and a 3 pin (red, white and yellow) and S-Video sockets.
  8. is it possible to have 64bit xp and run hl2 in 32bit mode? i had this problem where i got near the end of the game and theres a part of the game where everytime i reach it, the program will shut down and exit. ive also got a amd 4200 x2 and ati 1800 xt

  14. i think its a bug and something i've not heard about from hl2. i went thru hl2 without any problems (except having to solve the ones presented to u) and have talked to many people who did the same. it the forcefield sud come down (dnt really remember the part ur on, but i do know that i didnt have to do nething significant to get thru ne forcefield). mite wanna write to valve bout this....
  15. sorry mate but it looks like it aint gonna happen for you! to split a screen into 4 quarters is a very complicated process. (it happens that my neighbour was the main man in the group of scientists who invented the LCD and knows his stuff about monitors and light transition). i think that $2000 equipment is the closest u gonna get to doing what you want. to be honest, i'd just buy a very big tv......
