Hi, I am looking for a way to view the registry files of another install. To be precise, a previous install. Recently I re-installed my system, soon I found there are some programs I use store their setting in the registry, now I want to restore them. I have the whole system partition backed up before re-installing. After some googling, I find out that the registry files are located at %SystemRoot%\System32\Config\, but I am not lucky enough to find a way to open/view them. They definitely don't look like plain text. Is it possible to do what I want? Let me know if more information is needed. Thanks in advance.
