  1. :hello:

    I will humbly refer you to this page for the WINNT.SIF settings.

    http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/winnt_sif.htm

    AND

    http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/reference.htm

    It helped me greatly! :thumbup

    But if I may suggest, you should change the

    UnattendedInstall="Yes" to "no"

    If "Yes" this will tell Setup you are running an installation of the Unattended type.

    also look carefully at these settings

    OemPreinstall=Yes

    OemSkipWelcome=0

    OemSkipWelcome=0 or 1

    This option should be set to 0 if you have OemPreinstall from above on No, If OemPreinstall is on Yes then this option should be set to 1, not doing so will halt the OEM process! When set to 0 this tells Setup not to display the welcome screen during the GUI-mode of Windows Setup (Note: This is not the same as "Windows Welcome" where you set a username for your new account when Setup finishes)

    I really hopes this helps!

    I want to earn my keep around here! ;)

  2. I did start over, and I did get it completed without issue (atleast on my VM). Howver I had to move my BOOT.ini file over from my old DIR to make it work. Any reason why. XPCREATE would not continue without it.

    Again thanks for such a wounderful app and a great forum. :thumbup

  3. I would like to first apologise for this post... it seems alot of folks are having issue with this and I have read most of the post here regaurding this but could not find a solution to my problem. :no:

    I have a HighPoint RAID controller built into my SOYO FIRE DRAGON MB and I am (obviously) trying to get an ISO distro for XP PRO (w/ SP2 slipstreamed) to complete unattended using XPCREATE. I get to thru the whole thing but I do notice that during the process that XPCREATE cannot find a file and after it completes with the creation of the ISO and I test it out on my VM it gives me this - The file hpt3xx.sys could not be found. Press any key to continue. - And once I do that it cancels the install. :realmad:

    I have also made sure I have the right info in my SIF file because I took a hint from the XPCREATE.CAB file refered to here.

    I have included my log file and my SIF file.

  4. Hello all, :hello:

    I am just one of many I see new kids on the block. Like most of you, I am here mostly to siphon knowledge from willing donors. And through the process of osmosis, leak a little back. ;) My reason for coming here in the first place is that I am trying to make a XP CD that has all of my required drivers, including the SCSI/RAID driver that needs to be loaded during the text portion of setup. But from what I have read already here, looks like I am in for a bit more than that.

    Well that’s all for now. If you are so bored as to want to know more, then give a holler!

    Glenn :w00t:

    p.s. Looking for a cool avitar... any suggestions?
