  1. Just a thought ( have no idea how to set this up) Would it work if when XP or windows it running booted what have you , pop in your cd have it made to AUTO install with out clicking or choosing anything. Have the installed software installed on the root C:/ of the drive and during the install have it set to modify the boot ini so your program is the default OS and boot it from the HD of the machine when it's restarted.
  2. The radios are fine 5 other pc's here can access each one and both bridges have 6 or more PC's behind them accessing the internet. It's just this one and only one XP box with problems. I'll try your ideas and get back to you.
  3. Using another PC I changed several IP address's on the AP's and client radios I have problems accessing. I then can access them from my problem XP machine. Until I restart the computer. Then it's back to can't ping or access them.
  4. Hear is the out put of the ping and arp -a commands route print is at the bottom. It shows 3 nics I put in a server nic I had the other day to test and haven't removed it yet. I have this computer on a different cable now. I roll my own patch cables. This one was just used to setup a wireless AP with my laptop. Below the IP 192.168.0.132 is 1 of the radios I can connect too , It's the AP that the radio that failed to connect is associated with. What is been bugging me is Radio IP .0.136 's route for me to connect too it is my pc/ switch/ 5.8ghz wireless bridge /switch/2.4 ghz wireless bridge/900 Mhz AP/192.168.0.136 radio. the second radio in the 2.4Ghz hop I can't ping either. It's as if something is blocking local connections By IP. G:\Documents and Settings\Allan>ping 192.168.0.136 Pinging 192.168.0.136 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. 5. Yes it's 255.255.255.0 every device is set the same.
  6. I have 1 computer xp pro all updated with a weird problem. It started a while back 1 month ago or so. I have several wireless radios in different locations all on the same lan. All use a browser port 80 to login and configure. The radios have a .exe scan tool for locating them as well. For some reason the tool would not locate any radio with an address above 192.168.0.132 But the same tool on the other computers in my home connected to the same switch would. My book marked link to these radios would bring up Page not found error. I changed 1 radios IP using my laptop to .0.144 and the problem PC would see it for about 2 days. Now it doesn't again. I also run a local server for a few games , Last night the problem PC would not list the server. But would list the internet servers. My wife 10 feet away was playing on the local server as well as 2 other members of this same lan. SO it seems to be getting worse. I have tried shutting off windows fire wall. Added a new nic card. swapped switch ports and cables. Ping is the same no reply to the affected Address's. CC get mac address does not scan these address's either. LM and hosts files seem normal. I'm lost ! Thanks for any ideas. Allan
