hey thanks....i found the stuff abt oem issues....its the first pixel that define the color thats has to be transparent....and the picture has to be 256 color windows bitmap...

how do i make the oem logo blend in to the sys properties window? my logo is 180x114 and is in black...the rest of the image is in white which is also the area i want to be transparent....

this may sound stupid to most!!! but whats the difference between the corporate and retail editions of XP pro??? where i live all software is freeware...we dont use automatic updates....we share everything B) ..... so we dont need to know much abt whats legal and whats not.... there is no law against software piracy...isnt that somthing??? hehe

Hey parathapml....i duplicated the original using a CD duplicator....i thought this process duplicates an exact image of the source.....inculiding the boot sector and i didnt say i had a problem with booting up from this CD....but setup terminates after copying the files....

Oh!! is that right.... i got a bit confused becuz i was talkin abt two different issues here.... so the wpa.dbl is hardware dependant... ****!!! i also have a version of Windows XP that does not require activation... can i still find one that does not require this process...or does all the latest XP cds come with the activation feature???

hey sorry abt that doggie....didnt know i broke the rulz... and nolookingca...what do u mean files from one system doesnt work on others?? im not talkin abt modifiying anything from this CD....just that a duplicated CD of the original does not work.....

i downloaded the IT pro package of the WinXP service pack 2....the 266MB file and i cant get it to work when i copy the file to another location....can somone explain why this happen??

oh!! and another thing....i do have a legit Windows XP pro CD and it doesnt seem to work when duplicated or copied....is this some kind of software protection procedure from microsoft???

HI ALL, is it possible to disable the product activation process in an XP CD??? i was thinking about using make cab on the WPA.dbl file after the initial installation & activation so that the modified file can be integrated to a windows source on a CD... CAN THIS WORK??? help me out here guys.... thnks in advance....

thanks for the tip parathapml.... i'll see what i can find abt the sysdm.cpl resources... im working on my first unattended xp cd. i work for a PC dealer and would like to include the oem info for the company on the CD. i was thinking about modifying the "support information" button to include our "warranty terms" instead... can anyone explain how this can be done??? Is it possible?? and what can u guys tell me about the sysdm.cpl and what it has to do with my problem??

Aaron..... I tried changing the button text from the oeminfo.ini file...but the oem info is gone when the button text is changed from "support information" to somthing else....

i need a reg tweak to change the text on the oem "support information" button on the system properties page.... can anyone help me out???
