  1. Hey. . Thanks so much for the advise regarding sysprep. I don't know about that tool, but checking my XP Pro Help with 'sysprep' as the key pointed me to the Resource Kit web page. Man, there is a lot of stuff in there that I need. (Stop msgs, etc.). I jumped back over here to just say thanks. I saved a link to the page so that after I finish my 'rounds' today I can get in and look for sysprep. Best wishes to you. -Mark
  2. Whew! I've been through this so many times! I don't want to list the "Stop" errors and other stuff. I want to see if these tools can help me Restart an installation at points other than "39 minutes". Sometimes I get all the way down to "4 minutes", then WHAM! . Surely there is a way of preserving all that configuration, registering of components, setting up start menu items, and all the stuff that has completed properly!! and its probably simple, but I don't know how to do iit. All my software is legal, all is current. I am having the same problem with XP Pro and a 360-day release of Windows 64-Bit that I'm TRYING to install on an FIC K8-800 system with 3400+ 754-pin. Its so boring to go back to that "39 minutes" point. . Thanks in advance for any help. email me if you have something. kd4yum
  3. Hi, Actually my real name is not an Amateur Radio Call Sign. It is Mark. Happened upon this Site while searching for a solution to an Install problem. This stuff looks absolutely GREAT. I feel the presence of answers! I am located in Nashville. Work in computers for 25 years now, all sizes. Unix, DOS, Tres, Quatro, .... oops.. accidently started counting. Glad to be onboard. . don't yet have a gigabyte signature, so i'll just say "Have Fun!" . kd4yum
