As far as I can tell, the .dot that is in the cmpnents directory is NOT 1.1 framework. If you compare the properties of the files, they are all versioned at 1.0.x including the ones in \i386\netfx*.* Looking at an extracted netfx1.cab from the redistributable, the files are labeled 1.1.x I'm not quite sure what the use of the cmpnents is, but there is a vague reference to it on http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...y/sitpcdep.mspx I'd love to have the real 1.1 framework slipstreamed in too, instead of having to run it at the end. (but too much effort) Anyone know why 1.0 version is there? is it only for tabletPC?

I started this just trying to splistream XP SP2, but started exploring the customizations that can be done to the OS CD. I'm tired of going into all the stupid screens and changing all the defaults to what I like and loading TweakUI and twiddling more preferences. I'm using the CMDLINES.TXT to load up the registry with my personal preferences into HKLM & HKCU, but I can't seem to find a couple of items: Folder Options: Use Windows classic folders Hide protected operating system files (show all files) Sort by file type View Status Bar Taskbar and Start Menu properties: Show Quick Launch Toolbar Unhide inactive icons Misc Use Classic Control Panel (probably related to Windows Classic folders) First Desktop Icon-My Computer Control Panel in My Computer I think I got a handle on all the other bazillion registry settings thanks to RegTweaks.reg, Kelley's Korner & The Elder Geek. Can someone point me to the key names to the any of the above so I can dump them to a .reg file and append (or remove) them. Regards, £ordÇhariot
