  3. Hello, i'm new here and trying to make a USB bootable windows installation. First of all : i have a LEGAL XP PRO key so the things im trying to do are legal. I've seen your topics about the GUI USB bootloader but that doesn't work for me. (the reason for this, is that my WinXP ISO does not contain WINNT.exe) My software is downloaded, a Performance Edition win XP pro. But with legal key. To prepare my USB Flash bootdisk i use "PeToUSB" version 3 (look at this to see how its done). When all files are copied and I try to boot from my USB the netbook says "$WIN_NT$.~BT\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded." To solve this problem i've renamed the i386 folder to "$WIN_NT$.~BT" and moved txtsetup.sif to the root of the USB stick. This seems quite ok, coz the setup starts after this. When the setup starts, its beginning to load drivers until it comes to the SCSI drivers (CD-Rom in particular). It gives me the following error; Setup cannot find a CD-ROM Drive. Make sure your CD-ROM drive is on and properly connected to your computer. If it is a SCSI CD-ROM drive, make sure your SCSI devices are properly terminated. See your computer or SCSI adapter documentation for more information. Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3. Well no s*** sherlock, in Netbooks there aren't any CDroms. Is there any way to avoid this without using the GUI-thing USB preperation?
