  1. I don't see that. I'm using it to automate some of the tasks I have to do at my job. I'm not selling it or the modified installation sources.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I own a computer store, and more than half the installations we do here are repairs. However, after doing a repair with a stock disk, it is then necessary to perform all the updates. In addition, if IE8 was installed, and then a repair is done with IE6, this breaks activation. I really need a solution that allows me to do both reinstalls and clean installs with the updates integrated.
  3. UPDATE: After viewing the event logs, yes, it was SFC. So I ran SFC /PURGECACHE and tried reinstalling for like the fourth or fifth time, and this time it gives me "Error: could not locate INF file 'C:\WINDOWS\HFSLIP\HFSLIP151.INF'." And when I click OK it probably has a hundred more like that. Any ideas?
  4. OK, so I got HFSLIP, downloaded all the latest patches as per the list, ran the HFSLIP checker and removed a couple of obsolete ones, and integrated. Everything installs fine, but when I repair a computer with IE6 installed, the version of IEXPLORE.EXE is still 6. I've extracted IEXPLORE on the CD and it is definitely 8. I've also done a search for iexplore*.* including in archives and it found nothing that wasn't 8. I'm at a loss to explain this... System File Protection maybe? How do I fix it? Thanks!
