My thanks to both of you gentlmen for pointing me in the right direction. I have successfully installed Windows XP Pro on my Toshiba Laptop L450-02P. It works like a charm.. all drivers are clean.. no warnings or missing drivers. The first time I installed it, I loaded the sata drivers as well as the chipset drivers from the files I obtained from the post to which you pointed me. However, when the system was loaded, the DVD drive was not working. Something from either the chipset drivers or sata driver files screwed it up. It would work fine from a boot but would not be available once XP was up. It said it was the right driver but the hardware was missing. So I went back and only loaded the sata drivers on the Nlite CD. I loaded the system and everything was working fine with the exception of the SM Bus Controller. I went into that driver and did a driver update and pointed it to the chipset driver file and it loaded just fine. Everything is working just fine... thanks for all your pointers.

Thanks for you help.. yes, I am enjoying it immensely. I got drivers for everything that is missing, including the storage manager (sata drivers). All the drivers are working just fine except for the storage manager. When I tried installing the sata drivers, it came up with a message that the system did not meet the minumum requirements for installation. I am assuming that since I loaded XP in compatability mode (IDE in effect) that it did not recognize the SATA device since this is turned off in the BIOS. All these drivers are in .exe files so I can not extract the driver and use NLITE to slipstream the driver into the XP install CD. I have the intel ICH9M-E/M sata achi controller.. so the last thing I need so that I can get maximum performance from the drive is to install the SATA driver. Does anyone know where I can get the drivers in a zip file so that I can extract them and add them to NLITE? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I know all about NLITE and integrating service packs and drivers, etc. My problem is that I can not find the drivers for my system. I just bought a Toshiba Satellite L450-02P and want to install Windows XP Professional. However, there are no drivers for this system at Toshiba. I need SATA drivers, audio device drivers, network controller drivers, ethernet controller drivers, wireless network drivers, video drivers, flash disk drivers and SM BUS controller drivers (these are all listed as being missing when I loaded XP on the system). I could not access the internet so I could run something like driver fetch or anything like that. How can I find out what drivers I need and where to get them. Thanks in advance for any assistance. I have been trying for three days now and have come up with nothing.
