  1. Hi all, I've got a problem with a netbook, specifically an Aspire One D250. I've installed Windows XP on it from a USB stick i've set up, all went well. I can install any driver (lan, wlan, audio, video) but right after i install the intel chipset drivers, i get a blue screen on reboot, 0x7d error. I've searched microsoft for it and they say that it's either a HDD , controller or driver error. I'm guessing the driver shouldn't be the problem, seeing as i've installed the same one on another AO, same model, a few days ago, worked fine. The HDD is ok, i've tested it with a number of programs i've found on UBCD. I tried installing the chipset first, then last, updating the BIOS, then moved to a lower BIOS version, AHCI disabled every time (i know that causes problems most of the time). Nothing works. I've googled this any way i could, noone seems to have this problem. If it is the controller, is there any way i can test for it? I can't just leave it like this, the SMBus controller doesn't have any driver installed and it's crap to work on. It freezes a lot, even if i don't actually use it, just moving the mouse a little faster kills it. And i kinda have a deadline to get it done, it's for a customer. Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
