I was able to work with a computer with WinXP Pro installed and managed to get a bootable CD. My next question is, do I need to integrate SP1a or can I go directly to SP2. Per Microsoft website, SP2 is for WinXP or Win XP Sp1a which inplies SP2 can be applied without first doing SP1a.

After I select the correct SATA text mode driver and click next, I am asked "do you want to start the proccess"? I click yes and see "preparing selected tasks" then I get an error dialog box titled P(1) 11 which says patch error occured, check if one of the add-ons is overwriting one of these files with non-original files: uxtheme.dll, syssetup.dll tcpip.sys and usbport.sys. The last session.ini file shows no errors. I am using original WinXP Pro as source and all I am doing is adding the SATA textmode driver, no updates or service packs. I am working on a Dell 1520 laptop with fully updated Vista.
