  1. here it is First_000001.zip
  2. Okay, I'll try it when I can! Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  3. I got the program to work! Turns out my Performance Logs service was disabled for some reason. I created the log, but I don't know what file to attach. What should I attach? Thanks! -Schicklgruber
  4. Hi cluberti, So I tried what you suggested and when the program started making the log file, the message box just stayed at "Starting" and never went to "Started" or "Running". I followed all the directions correctly and even tried it twice. Any ideas? Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  5. Okay cluberti, I'll try it tomorrow!
  6. "What's filling the memory?" - This is why I posted here. I don't know why the memory keeps filling up on its own when the computer is not doing anything. "What does task manager show?" Task Manager shows 4030mb or so memory free. "What does perfmon show?" Perfmon shows Pages/sec at 1.000 I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more info, -Schicklgruber
  7. Hi all, I have a Dell Dimension B110 with 1.256GB Memory installed. The computer has an 80GB HDD with only 20 or so GB used. If I leave the computer on for a certain amount of time, the memory gets filled up automatically to a point where the computer runs slowly and I cannot run programs such as Microsoft Word (2003). I don't have that much stuff at all on this computer, I only use it for printing and file storage. In case it matters, for my antivirus software I have McAfee Internet Security with IObit Security 360 Pro installed. I have another identical computer with the same amount of memory and hard disk space, but this does not happen to my other computer, which has 40GB used of an 80GB HDD. Anybody have any ideas? -Schicklgruber
  8. Hi all, I have decided to give up on this problem. I don't have the time in my life to try everything, and having the windows xp cd work on other computers is all I wanted. I don't need all those extra settings/customizations. Thanks for the help though, -Schicklgruber
  9. So you're saying I should try making only the ISO while leaving the $OEM$ folder there? Oh this is sort-of offtopic but the other CD I got to work without the $OEM$ folder, when I installed it windows said it was not genuine microsoft software! I couldn't install WMP11.
  10. Here is a screenshot of the $OEM$ folder. Just the picture was too big so I put the picture in a ZIP file. Let me know if you need anything else, -Schicklgruber oem.zip
  11. Hi Johnhc, Sorry I haven't been able to get back to you but I have not had time to make this screenshot. My life is very busy and I will try my best to find a time. Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  12. Hi Johnhc, Unfortunately the $OEM$ folder is too large when compressed. When compressed the folder is 232KB. However I will try your suggestions today and report back with the results as soon as possible. Thanks! -Schicklgruber
  13. Hi Johnhc, Luckily I have good news! I tried creating only an ISO with nLite and burning the ISO with ImgBurn. But before I created the ISO, I copied the files from my CD and deleted the $OEM$ folder. Then I created the ISO and burned it to a CD. I then successfully installed windows from the CD on VirtualBox. Now what should I try? -Schicklgruber
  14. Hi Johnhc, I found the problem to my CD drive. Unfortunately I discovered that my drive does not write CDs. I guess I will try creating the ISO and writing the ISO on another computer and I will reply back with the results when I get the time. Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  15. Johnhc, I do have the original CD. It's a Dell reinstallation CD, which is the same as a regular Windows CD but only works on Dell computers. And unfortunately, I am having problems with my CD drive. My CD drive does everything except read blank CDs. When I insert a CD into my drive, I get an error message when I try to access it "Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows." I've tried reinstalling the driver, updating the driver, and taking the CD drive out of my computer and putting it back in. Nothing's wroked. Any ideas on the problem? Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  16. I'll try writing it to a CD. I will try to find time for this tomorrow. If I don't reply after tomorrow, it's because I haven't found a time to do it yet. I will also attach my Last Session.ini file for you to look at. Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  17. Hello everybody, Unfortunately I do not have good news. Today I tried creating the ISO again and testing it on Microsoft Virtual PC. This time, the setup kept restarting for no good reason. It didn't even give any error message. I tried all of your suggestions, and I even tried it twice. Johnhc, I checked the IE7 file and it was the exact same size and had the exact same MD5 sum as yours. I have run out of ideas on why this is happening. This time I only integrated SP3 and IE7. If you have anymore ideas I would love to hear them. If not, could somebody tell me how to create an unattended disc without nLite? Thanks everybody for your help, -Schicklgruber
  18. Hello everybody, I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply sooner, but the reason why is I haven't had a time to try all of your suggestions yet. My schedule is very busy, and I will try my best to find a time. But I just wanted to let you know that the reason why I'm not replying is not because I found the solution and didn't feel like replying back. The reason is because I just don't have the time now. Thank you everyobody for your help, -Schicklgruber
  19. Hello everybody, Unfortuantely I did not have a good experience. First, I booted into the ISO and it formatted and copied the setup files fine. Then, it rebooted, and as setup was starting, an error message popped up. Again, it went away so quickly I couldn't write it down. Then, it rebooted and did the same thing over and over again. I've attached my session.ini file for all of you to look at. If you can't find a solution to my problems, could somebody show me how to manually deploy windows without nLite? Thanks guys for trying to help me, -Schicklgruber Last_Session.ini
  20. Hello everybody, Thank you for all your suggestions. I am going to try everybody's suggestions, and start all over again from the beginning. I will run nLite with all of your suggestions in mind, and create the ISO through nLite. I will then burn the ISO to a CD and try installing in Microsoft Virtual PC. I will let you all of you know about my results, -Schicklgruber
  21. Okay guys, I've got a sort-of new problem. So today I tried creating my ISO file over again. But this time, I integrated SP3 and IE7, and had no Unattended settings (no extra themes). I also enabled the uxtheme patch. I've attached my session.ini file if you guys want to look at it. This time, I had a different problem. So I booted into the ISO image with VirtualBox, and everything loaded fine. I formated, and it started copying setup files. But this time, I got an error message saying "Cannot copy clock.avi. Would you like to skip this file?" I skipped the clock.avi file. However, when it was finished copying setup files, it rebooted, showed the windows boot screen, and then it showed a screen that said "Setup is restarting..." and then kept restarting over and over again. I've attached a picture I got from Google images showing the screen that I am getting. Let me know if you need anymore information, -Schicklgruber Last_Session.ini
  22. GrofLuigi, my theme is signed by Microsoft. It's the Microsoft Zune theme. I'm not sure what build my IE7 is, I just downloaded the install file form the Microsoft download site. -X-, I don't mean blue screen of death, what I mean is it shows a light blue screen with a mouse in the center. And that picture you attached is similar to the error message, but not really. The error message box was a lot smaller than that. And it was not in a dialog box. Johnhc, could you tell me how to integrate IE7 into SP2? What I did after the process finished creating the ISO, was I tried out the WinLite ISO in VirtualBox. Then, I deleted the WinLite ISO because it did not work in VirtualBox (I never wrote the ISO to a CD). And I am pretty sure that the original windows CD is working properly (I've used it many times). Thank you everybody for trying to help me, -Schicklgruber
  23. Thank you everybody for replying. -X-, I've attached a picture of what I mean by boot screen. I've also attached my last Session.ini file. Do you mean hard drive hardware by the type? If so, it's an IDE hard drive. Not a SATA. Johnhc, Windows never actually installed. First, it booted into the CD, showed the blue setup screen, formated and copied the files fine, and then it reboots. It shows the windows boot screen (i've attached a photo) and then it shows a blue screen as if it's going to start the install process, but then shows an error message. The error message goes away so quickly I cannot read it. Then, it reboots, and a blue Windows XP screen is showed saying "Setup is restarting...." (i've described it best I could and unfortunately cannot get a picture of this screen) and then reboots and does the whole thing over again. I hope this helps, -Schicklgruber Last_Session.ini
  24. Hi all, First, I think that nLite is a really cool program. But, unfortunately it's never worked for me. A while ago, I successfully made an nLite disc, and while Windows was copying files, it gave me an error message and had to exit installation. Then, I waited for a long time, and tried nLite again today. This time, it copied all the files correctly, but it could never start the installation. My computer showed the windows boot screen, then an error message popped up so quickly I couldn't read it or copy it down, and then rebooted and did the same thing over and over again. Can somebody please help me with my problem? I would really like to use nLite, but I can't because of these issues. Thanks! -Schicklgruber
