  1. here it is First_000001.zip
  2. Okay, I'll try it when I can! Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  3. I got the program to work! Turns out my Performance Logs service was disabled for some reason. I created the log, but I don't know what file to attach. What should I attach? Thanks! -Schicklgruber
  4. Hi cluberti, So I tried what you suggested and when the program started making the log file, the message box just stayed at "Starting" and never went to "Started" or "Running". I followed all the directions correctly and even tried it twice. Any ideas? Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  5. Okay cluberti, I'll try it tomorrow!
  6. "What's filling the memory?" - This is why I posted here. I don't know why the memory keeps filling up on its own when the computer is not doing anything. "What does task manager show?" Task Manager shows 4030mb or so memory free. "What does perfmon show?" Perfmon shows Pages/sec at 1.000 I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more info, -Schicklgruber
  7. Hi all, I have a Dell Dimension B110 with 1.256GB Memory installed. The computer has an 80GB HDD with only 20 or so GB used. If I leave the computer on for a certain amount of time, the memory gets filled up automatically to a point where the computer runs slowly and I cannot run programs such as Microsoft Word (2003). I don't have that much stuff at all on this computer, I only use it for printing and file storage. In case it matters, for my antivirus software I have McAfee Internet Security with IObit Security 360 Pro installed. I have another identical computer with the same amount of memory and hard disk space, but this does not happen to my other computer, which has 40GB used of an 80GB HDD. Anybody have any ideas? -Schicklgruber
  8. Hi all, I have decided to give up on this problem. I don't have the time in my life to try everything, and having the windows xp cd work on other computers is all I wanted. I don't need all those extra settings/customizations. Thanks for the help though, -Schicklgruber
  9. So you're saying I should try making only the ISO while leaving the $OEM$ folder there? Oh this is sort-of offtopic but the other CD I got to work without the $OEM$ folder, when I installed it windows said it was not genuine microsoft software! I couldn't install WMP11.
  10. Here is a screenshot of the $OEM$ folder. Just the picture was too big so I put the picture in a ZIP file. Let me know if you need anything else, -Schicklgruber oem.zip
  11. Hi Johnhc, Sorry I haven't been able to get back to you but I have not had time to make this screenshot. My life is very busy and I will try my best to find a time. Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  12. Hi Johnhc, Unfortunately the $OEM$ folder is too large when compressed. When compressed the folder is 232KB. However I will try your suggestions today and report back with the results as soon as possible. Thanks! -Schicklgruber
  13. Hi Johnhc, Luckily I have good news! I tried creating only an ISO with nLite and burning the ISO with ImgBurn. But before I created the ISO, I copied the files from my CD and deleted the $OEM$ folder. Then I created the ISO and burned it to a CD. I then successfully installed windows from the CD on VirtualBox. Now what should I try? -Schicklgruber
  14. Hi Johnhc, I found the problem to my CD drive. Unfortunately I discovered that my drive does not write CDs. I guess I will try creating the ISO and writing the ISO on another computer and I will reply back with the results when I get the time. Thanks, -Schicklgruber
  15. Johnhc, I do have the original CD. It's a Dell reinstallation CD, which is the same as a regular Windows CD but only works on Dell computers. And unfortunately, I am having problems with my CD drive. My CD drive does everything except read blank CDs. When I insert a CD into my drive, I get an error message when I try to access it "Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows." I've tried reinstalling the driver, updating the driver, and taking the CD drive out of my computer and putting it back in. Nothing's wroked. Any ideas on the problem? Thanks, -Schicklgruber
