  1. P.S. Did you know Vista is actually an acronymn? Yeah, V.I.S.T.A. = Very Irritating Sh!t To Avoid. Thank you nLite for allowing me to rip this OS out by the roots and replace it w/something more stable! If I was more of an uber-tekno-geek and could live w/o mainstream functionality, I'd go w/Linux.
  2. Well, hey - if anybody else runs into this (I saw a post from a long time ago w/no answers), here's the deal. I followed conventional wisdom and slipstreamed SP3. The problem is, it must MISS this driver even though it isn't needed on my laptop. I used SP2 and the problem disappears.
  3. I'm downgrading from Vista to XP. Ran into a snag w/SATA drivers on my laptop, so I nLite enabled me to overcome that by including those Intel drivers. But now that the XP installation is launching from my CD/DVD drive, I get an error "FDC.SYS cound not be found Press any key to continue - Setup failed. Press any key to restart your computer." If I don't have a floppy drive why is XP looking for this? Can I just find this driver and include it in the nLite image build? Thanks for any help you can lend!
