Sorry to be so late with my answer,but I've got a lot of problems during this week and couldn't spend time looking after this matter.Anyway,I encountered a further problem integrating the hotfixes;simply,the CD started booting and,after formatting,copying files and initializing, the system stopped,showing something like "the installation programme will be restarted" and restarting the PC.Actually,the installation was stopped and aborted. So,assumed that the error was evidently in the integration of hotfixes,first I checked the integration order (it was correct,by release date) after I disabled the "direct integration" in "advanced settings".This way I got through creating the right ISO;before burning I tested with Virtual box after I made the operation.I've just finished to boot the notebook and it's working well.No problems at all about WMP,I put it inside the ISO.About the use of Nero,I will make some tests when there will be some spare time,anyway I think that,almost for ISO files,ImgBurn is the right tool. John,I've seen yesterday's post but I waited to answer because I wanted to carry out some more tests,the way to be more exhaustive in my post.After some negative response ("No bootable CD in ATAPI" as usual) I decided to follow CDOB's suggestion and try to burn the ISO with ImgBurn again,checking for possible errors in burning.The copy runs without any problem,I've already made the installation;it means that using Nero can create difficulties,even taking care about speed. I operated in a single session of Nlite with a FRESH copy of XP,integrating only SP3 and making the ISO directly with Nlite.Now I'm going to make a full updated copy of XP,integrating also the hotfixes;if I understand well,you suggest to install WMP later,directly on the PC after installation,on the contrary I should make a double session of Nlite (the integration of WMP should be made by Slipstreamer and after that I should return to Nlite to make the ISO). Anyway,everything seems to be O.K.After the new test I'll let you know the result,I think it will be positive. Thank you for your help Giancarlo

Maybe a bad burned media, e.g. low quality media or half broken writer. Try ImgBurn again. Fix the error source. It runs!!Thank you for suggestion.

Thank you,John,for the prompt answer.I'll try to the job tonight or,at worst,tomorrow.Anyway,as "bootable" I mean that the CD should start automatically operation (installation a.s.o.) after proper setup (boot from CD in the windows setup);the CDs I got don't do this,simply show the start page with the menu and I must click on set up or "install Windows XP".This way installation is possible only on the notebook equipped with double OS,starting from Vista.On the other machine I tried but,of course,it was impossible to finish.The copies of Win I have are two original CDs by Microsoft containing the OS;both of them are OEM,I had to buy them to replace the original OS of the PCs and couldn't find the retail issue.I will post further information you require a little later,after doing the job,or maybe tomorrow.I will start integrating only SP3 and will try to install this copy. Hallo,I'm a new fellow for this forum and have a question relevant to a Nlite-updated copy of Win XP. I have two OEM licenses and tried with both,but I never got a bootable CD. I followed carefully the instruction (at least,it's not so difficult to use Nlite),I burnt the images first by Nlite,later by UltraISO (not by ImgBurn,this application gives me an error in burning) and even with two different versions of Nero,using two different PC's and different OS (XP and vista),but every time the machine refuses to accept the disc as bootable.Note that I started from the original license XPPro SP2,adding SP3+updates until september 2009+WMP11 and relevant updates (this one using slipstreamer).I've seen in some post in this forum that every time I should use a FRESH copy of the Windows files (also of the updates and SP?),and I didn't do so,and sometimes I operated with more than one session of Nlite,this maybe wrong.I even tried not to use the ISO,simply burning the Win files on a CD by Nero:actually,it seems like the autorun has not been copied properly or something like that.If I put in the CD it opens itself showing the start page (both using the image and the file's CD),obviously I can install XP on the PC having two OS (I did it),but not on the other one,which has only XP. Can somebody give me a suggestion to solve or clarify this problem? thanks to everybody Giancarlo
