Hi. I'm trying to create a XP SP3 with nLite 1.4.9.1 but i am not succeeding. I copied all the files from the original CD to my hard disk, applied SP2 and then applied SP3, since I'm using Vista and the nLite website says Vista users should streamline SP2 before SP3. For testing purposes, i burned a CD-RW with SP2 only (did not work, see below), and then used the same disc to burn WinXP SP3 (which did not work either). I did not remove anything from the instalation dir (altho some files seem to be removed by default according to Last Session.ini, like clock.avi), i only made some tweaks. When I tried to install on another computer, it failed to copy some files (such as c949.nls, some fonts, dlls, etc.) while still in the first stage of the installation process. Then I tried to burn a SP3 CD-RW (using nLite's direct burning functionality again) and ticked the option "Verify". Not to my surprise, verification failed. I tried using a DVD+RW disc (since i did not have another CD-RW) and it also failed. The verification process is failing consistently. Does anybody have any idea? What could be wrong? The XP copy I used? It did not have this problem originally, it only happens to the nlited version. Could it be the service pack streamlining procedure? Or the burning procedure? Can I verify the files before burning the disc? It would save a lot of time. Besides, nLite is saving Last Session files in my xp directory. Is this expected behavior? If you need extra information, just ask. I really need SP3 since the original XP does not install on my computer, please help!
