  1. Hello I've been using my unattended installation of windows xp for some time at my previous job. Now, for my new job, I'm trying to get it to work again, but having some problems. I'm able to boot using Windows PE, create partitions, format them, and copy some tools. Then I connect to the network to start the installation of windows XP. Users can choose between languages (NL or EN), the right setup is started. With Windows 2000, no problem. With Windows XP, installation shows, but fails almost immediately. Cannot copy files needed for setup. I created a log file, hope someone can make something of it: Adding files from [Files] section... Added directory to copy list: SourceName = i386\$OEM$ TargetName = $OEM$ InfSymbol = - Added directory to copy list: SourceName = i386\asms TargetName = asms InfSymbol = - Unable to copy dir i386\asms (rc=3[0x3]) Added RootBootFiles, return = 0 Added directory to copy list: SourceName = i386\$OEM$\TEXTMODE TargetName = $OEM$ InfSymbol = - The complete log file can be viewed here. The unattend.txt used can be viewed here. Somebody has an idea?
  2. Which network card do you use? Maybe you should take a look at this
  3. I know it can be done, creating a Windows PE image which has support for the s***ty Marvell Yukon network adpter found on some Asus motherboard. I've seen screenshots of superbikkel who seems to have the support. Problem is, I don't have any success doing it. I'm not an OEM system builder, I'm working for a company which has a Select Agreement with Microsoft, so we don't have access to the new Windows PE 1.2. I do have a Windows PE 1.1, though, and we were using it successfully on other motherboards. I've searched google, tried anything. Normal procedure would be putting the inf file under \i386\inf, & putting the driver under \i386\system32\drivers. Not working however, no network adapter is detected during boot. I tried placing the sys en inf file in various directory's, i386, i386\system32, ... Nothing works. Can someone please please help me? Do I need Windows PE 1.2? Regards Peter
