I didn't delete anything for the first try but I was pretty sure I didn't add anything either. I chose Integrate Service Pack and Create a bootable ISO. Under compatibility I checked the ethernet box and windows activation as those seemed important. I didn't click any of the remove componets. I went through the boxes until I reached Create a Bootable ISO. There everything but the ISO label was greyed out. So I just chose make ISO After saving the file to the folder I had name NEW, again the box for Create ISO is there with only the label not greyed out. Does any of this give you an idea of where I made a mistake? Another ? "to change the default boot sector, name it boot.bin, etc. etc. " What is the boot sector and why would I change it? Where would I rename it? I'm more than a bit confused

Thanks for the link. It helped a lot although I'm still not sure I'm doing it correctly. Nero won't burn a cd from my image; cdrw too small. I can't find 800mb disks a online at local retailers. Does it really take this size cd or did I do something wrong?

The nlite forum recommended: is that available on this board? I couldn't get beyond choosing my first cd with no idea how to add the SP3. I need basic information and the nlite forum sounds like my best bet.

I would like to slipstream my XP Home. I have the original CD, SP2, and SP3 cds. If using nLite is it a two step process slipstreaming SP2 into the original Windows, and then adding SP3. What is the simplest method? Is there a tutorial for using nLite ?
