@cluberti - I googled how to turn on driver verifier and selected the sr.sys driver and restarted (not sure if anything else is needed after doing so). Thanks both for the replies. constant was also a bad word to describe the issue. it was more like annonying/periodic/daily. @Tripredacus - I am able to get into Windows. I plan to update to SP3 soon (have been busy with work so havent done it yet. OS is installed on an IDE drive(laptop is the machine experiencing the issues) @cluberti - Thanks for the insight. There was another BSOD when I got home(the two stop codes in the middle were diff this time (0x82b12b90, 0x82b12d04). I can zip up the dump if needed.) System Restore was active(not sure when I activated it as I never use it). I have disabled it for the time being to see if the issues stop. Will let it run a day or two to see if it comes up with a BSOD and advise.

XP SP2 Just started to recently get BSODs with the stop codes in the subject(Not sure if the codes after the 0xf4 changes on each BSOD). I had this issue once before() and I uninstalled Symantec and the BSODs stopped. (When I go to My Computer, it takes an extremely long time(flashlight going back and forth) before it shows anything (over 5 minutes) When i go to Network Places, my network adapters dont show up (both are working as I can see their IP addresses from ipconfig) (Ive tried stopping and restarting the network svcs service but the issue still occurs) Or should I just rebuild the thing?

Also, dont think this matters but Symantec wasnt uninstalling from Add/Remove programs so I had to uninstall via manual removal instructions: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-s...&dtype=corp Then I used the Norton Removal Tool in case it needed to remove anything: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...&view=docid

Got your PM. Just realized that the Symantec version was 9.0 (I uninstalled 9.0). I have 10.0 around here but I will hold off on installing to see if it blue screens again. Ill let you know

Also, I would have thought a complete memory dump would have been bigger as opposed to the smaller size of the newer files that come up now...

The option was set. if you look at the dump files, the ones that were created with a newer date are smaller than the other ones(so something changed)..... Ill recheck the paging file when I get home to make sure it is the proper size

I changed the option so the system would provide a complete memory dump instead of a minidump. The files from yesterday and the day before are the files that came out after I made the change. All the other files are from when the issue was still occurring (All the 100kb files). I dont know how to force the issue to happen...Is there anything else that I have to do to force it to happen to get the complete memory dump?
