[Windows 7 what is all the hype?]

Vista has been the best OS I've ever used and I still love it and that's why I've fallen head over heels for Windows 7!! It's what Vista should have been when it was first released. Everything from installation to configuration is far easier including updates. Others do have a point though, why should they shell out more money for Windows 7 if they have just converted to Vista. No matter, I think Windows 7 is the BEST OS in the field and Microsoft has finally fielded a winner from the get go.

[What AntiVirus/Firewall to use]

I was an adamant user of Avast for the last couple of years and it's a great AV but had many false positives which irked me to no end. Since then, I've tried Microsoft Security Essentials and have completely had a change of heart. It is a thorough active AV with a small footprint and scans reasonably fast. So far I've had no false positives and no unwanted intrusions to my system. I heartily recommend it.
