  1. hi there, thank you very much for your prompt and clear response to my appeal for advice. I am glad to have your opinion. Since the smaller MB MS-6385 Vers.1 works perfectly well and knowing now that there will be no issues because of the power supply I will keep it installed. By the way I have 2 more of those as spares just in case and 2 MS-6339 Vers 2 which I could sell on ebay. As this PC was my first one and for which I had paid incl. Scaleo CTM7010 monitor UK1250 in 2002 I like to keep and use it.In total I have 3 more Fujitsu-Siemens PC's. Kind regards, Carlo
  2. Hello there, I am a new member with an old issue solved only partially and I need some help to solve the outstanding bits. On my Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo 600 1.9Gz Pentium 4 423pin socket the original MB had a memory issue and was successfully replaced with this Board: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL MS-6385 Vers.1 Bus Clock: 100 MGz BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. 6.00 PG 06/08/2001 Memory installed 4x512MB = 2GB RIMM ECC Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600) 250.06 GB Usable Hard Drive Capacity 2.00 GHz Intel Pentium 4 and not 1.7GHz has recommended. My issue is that originally I had planned to replace the defect MFI MB with the MS-6339 Vers. 2 for which I had downloaded and printed the manual. On it it is cleared marked that it supports RIMM ECC, however when installed I found out that there is no way to do any setting in BIOS. Basically this MS-6339.vers.2 can only work with NON ECC RIMM modules. Of couse, I have plenty of those but in smaller denomination (8x128MB + 4x64MB) though I want to use my 4 very expensive 512MB ECC modules. My question is this: As the old Scaleo case has fitted a new power supply with 3 connectors (ATX 20-pin, ATX 12V and the 6-pin Aux) I wonder if the good working MS-6385 Vers.1 will suffer for that because it only needs 2 and no Aux. In fact, the same board was installed before and it used to work fine when all of the sudden the power supply broke down and had to be costly replaced. Any help regarding the RIMM memory on MS-6339 Vers 2 and also on the power supply provided on MS-6385 Vers 1 with one AUX connector not in use? Thank you very much for any help, suggestion or advise!
