No the actual copy of office has never been used before. But the activation code (that has not been used) is from Dell. Will the unused Dell activation key work on an HP?

I just bought a new HP Pavillion dv6t, and did not buy Microsoft Office on it because my brother has an unused version of Microsoft Office that he will give to me. The only problem is the Microsoft Office that my brother has is from Dell. My new laptop has Windows Vista Home Premium SP-1 64 bit, and I am wondering wether or not the Dell activation key for Microsoft Office will work on my new HP?
