Tbh I worked it out by accident lol. I was looking on vlite's website and I saw 2 versions of WAIK and the 2nd one said recommended and the 1st one is the one i was using lol
-
I was originally using the 900mb WAIK or the first version
-
I seem to have fixed those packages by installing the WAIK from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en burn and LeveL you may want to try this sorry if the screenshot is hard to read had to resize in paint
-
Check out Jeronimo's extreme removal guide or dead0's not so extreme guide and theres also sausagehack's minimizing windows 7 preinstall guide. All are in the vLite section of the forum. hope that will get windows 7 onto a CD for you
-
too right mate
-
Exactly the same as me. Even tried reinstalling Vista XP and 7 :S
-
Burn the packages you can't remove are they Windows Gadget Platform Package, Xps Foundation Package, Windows Backup Package.
-
Just redownloaded and tested still not working :S strange because first time i tried this guide it worked It also does this for every other guide in the vLite section just tested all of them :S
-
Yeah I am running ultimate x64 and modded the batch file to Ultimate + II=4. "It also matters where you got it as maybe it has already been modified by someonelse " Could be I will try to redownload Windows 7 RTM again.
-
@Jeronimo: Even that didn't work I tried removing the packages before the Gadgets package from the list doesn't work :S . I tried them one by one and in pairs then I removed all of them at once with the Gadgets package starting first still jams on 85.7% and then "error image no longer serviceable"
-
Hmm I tried removing the last package that removed successfully which is "Microsoft-Windows-LocalPack-ZA-Package" and gadget platform still can't be taken out. So I removed it from the removal list and it fails again at "InternetExplorer-Optional-Package" saying something like check arguments are correct. Then breaks at Xps Foundation saying image no longer serviceable :S
-
Hmm I can't seem to remove gadgets packages :S I keep getting this error :S PS. any chance that anyone has one of the batch files from say a week ago because I want to check if it is only on the newer batches that it fails
-
have you tried dropping the bitrates on your sound ?? because really you should be at 16bit @ 48khZ or something but sometimes it gets set to 24bit @ 192khZ
-
Hmm it seems when trying to remove certain packages I get an error saying image no longer serviceable which is strange because it removes the previous package with no errors :S
-
Why Is it that when I remove the gadgets packages from the removals list the error saying image no longer serviceable goes away :S
-
Looks like 2.29 or 2.30 I tried 2.30 and it crackled like someone eating crisps. Also if you vlited your 7 make sure you don't remove multimedia class scheduler.
-
http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CAR...iver-R170.shtml I hope it works as it worked for me
-
@Jernimo. Nice to hear your enjoying the rewards of your hard work I finally managed to get Win7 going my 1st attempt worked but i accidentally removed media player
-
Yeah I also sorted the errors I was using Windows 7 WAIK not Vista
-
Nice works now I was going to say on the version I got to work I set the "Remove.Net" to V and ONLY vLite worked no other .net programs worked eg. MzVista or any other vista / 7 tweaks apps, Nvtray won't work. I hope that makes sense EDIT* seems I can't get rid of this error still saying image not serviceable and I made no other images are mounted and i made sure that I let removal.bat do the mounting
-
I just wanted to say I'm trying again with your latest removal.bat and it seems that on the command "removal.bat packages" I get a lot of errors saying the image is no longer serviceable which doesn't seem to add up because it is still mounted any tips ?
-
Jeronimo it seems the access denied stuff doesn't really have much of a negative effect. It seems to work even with the access denied stuff.
-
Ok I've got Windows 7 installed and working now My problem was that I was leaving game explorer in. Install size = 3gb without page file

I'm currently running the whole guide again with the new removal.bat and other files. I have changed the edition to ultimate and I will run vlite with Jeronimo's Stock Preset to make sure I don't get ahead of myself I also added the takeownership instruction from Jeronimo and placed it in the correct part of the .bat . Only one error so far when it tried to remove the internet explorer optionals package.
