  1. Hi John , Thanks for your very rapid reply, but with all do respect, I have no idea what you told me to do. Unattended mode? Where is that? How do I do this. I can get around my computer, but there are plenty of things I am not familiar with. I would appreciate a simplified instruction for this slightly more knowledgable than a novice user. Thanks again.... Dave
  2. Hi Guys, I have been trying to access my Windows XP CD's repair console for over 2 months. I tried nlite and made 2 copies of the OS with sata drives incorparated into the copy. When I boot off them it works great, however, when I try to boot from the copy to enter the windows repair console, it freezes on the screen that asks to press r to enter repair. I either did the copy wrong, I am not positive, but I think I followed all the instrructions, OR, I used the wrong drivers. I am using a Dell Dimension XPS Generation 2. And Windows XP Home Edition. I later found out that windows XP has a IDE Driver and I shouldn't have to even worry about sata drivers to get the windows XP CD to find my hard drive and entering repair console. I have tried to set my computer to IDE Mode, but have not done so successfully as of yet. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong or if anyone knows how ot set this computer to IDE Mode, so it will find my hard drive and I can enter the Wondows Reapir Console, It will be greatly appreciated. (P.S. This is a legal copy of Windows XP that I am using.) Thanks in advance.... Dave
