wow. what a pain. but, i found wingapi.dll on the web, downloaded it and put it in vLite's folder. now, all is well in the world. now, let's see what magic vLite can do ... enjoy your day everyone.

vLite Final requires WAIK pre-installation, so I downloaded and installed WAIK. vLite can't "see" wimgap.dll. a search of my hard drive does not locate wimgap.dll. so, i cannot copy wimgap.dll to vLite's folder. can anyone suggest where to look for wimgap.dll so that i can copy it to vLite's folder? also, on another topic that someone may have a great tip: how does one tone down Vista's propensity for elaborate graphics like shadows around explorer boxes. it is such a resource hog. thanks for your help in advance.
