Congrats alienware on being epic phail again. Despite raid support being disabled, alienware put the hdd into the raid slot(i guess for faster speed). Hurray!!! for one hdd in a RAID 0 lol. Anyways i tried again with the jmicron raid controllers and its currently reformating and installing. Thanks for all the help. I guess this is a lesson that if u dont think u need the raid controller, u probobly do XD. OP requesting lock for solved problem /thread

Here is the last session. I clicked add multiple driver folder then clicked on the appropriate text mode driver and then made the disc and tried it. edit: here is my bios setting for my hdd. This is all i get my bios is pretty locked down Last_Session.ini

I looked at the previous disc setup and it indeed only loaded the last in the list of sata ahci controllers as u said might happen. It loaded the ich9r do/dh sata ahci controller which isnt the correct one. This time with only the one implemented it loaded the ich8m-e/ich8m sata ahci controller which is the correct one and i still got the exact same blue screen a the exact same place

The Nldrv folder is in the amd64 folder. In addition my bios is locked by the oem: Alienware. I cant see what its set as.

I am raid capable in this laptop but i only have one hdd in here. As for posting a picture of the windows explorer my windows is kinda corrupted a little bit and so the wireless refuses to connect to anything so ill take a screenie of the folder from inside ubuntu: As for the error, it goes through the f6 part and the f2 part where i dont push anything, then setup goes through loading drivers. It gets through that and loads the fat32 and ntfs file systems then says Setup is starting windows and it blue screens. I never get to accept the terms or anything.

The iso image is winxppro 64 sp2. I have tried just the one sata ahci controller i need along with the other drivers and have made a dvd out of them. I still get a bsod. I am running 32 bit windows xp pro sp3. i also had a friend of my slipstream a disc completely in windows 64 but that didnt work either. When i open the disc to see the files, i dont see that the drivers were put on the disc at all. I am very confused XD Here are some pictures of what i did and the bsod i got afterwards. Ok so despite the fact that i have loaded all the drivers i can. They will not load with windows setup and will still cause a blue screen of death when setup tries to start with the infamous 7b bsod. I have slipstreamed multiple discs trying to figure out whats wrong. Even a disc just with the sata drivers just to hope for an install. I went through and copied windows 64 pro to a clean directory. I then implemented all my 64 drivers (chipset, Matrix storage/SATA, LAN, Video card, Realtek audio) and made a dvd and booted from it only to get a bsod. I have gone through multiple times from scratch with new downloaded drivers each time, and even a different x64 disc. I have created a cd with just the sata drivers so it would fit and still the bsod. I tried a different computer and even asked my friend to slipstream me a disc all to no avail. When setup goes through to load the drivers before installation starts, none of the drivers i slipstream ever load and blue screens every time. My specs are thus: Alienware M17x laptop Intel C2D T8100 2.10 ghz 965M Express chipset 2x nvidia geforce 8600m gt sli 2gb ddr2 ram realtek audio and lan intel 4965 agn wireless card Ich8m/e-m sata ahci controller (found using intel chipset utility) I have successfuly installed a 32bit xp slipstreamed disc on this comp before and just to double check i have ran ubuntu 9.04 x64 with a live cd and it booted and ran to make sure its a 64 bit processor, which all c2ds are. I have no idea now whats wrong and honestly frustrated and need a little assisstance My last session ini file is attached Thanks for any help you may provide Last_Session.ini
