I wish to run BartPE in order to install Windows XP Pro SP3 from a Share Distribution on my network using an unattended installation method.
My questions is, is BartPE the best way to get to a command prompt to run the WINNT32 /unattend:winnt.sif from? I will be making my distribution folder using NliteOS. Nlite will slipstream drivers, and prep everything for me the way I like it.
But when in BartPE and running the installation command winnt32 /unattend:winnt.sif, it would start the process, but after copying the Windows installation files, it would drop to the prompt. And when I reboot, will everything start unattended? or using BartPE is not a good idea at all?
I would like to try this method to see if it will work using an unattended installation connected to a Distribution Share. If not, then I can use a server and run RIS or WDS.
