Hi, I am new to Windows Services. I am trying to install a software using InstallAnywhere on Windows XP, which registers a few services as Windows services. The Services are installed and started and stopped, and when I try to start the services manually, the following error is displayed. The adminSvc on Local Computer started and stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, The Performance Logs and Alerts service. where adminSvc is the service I installed. Some other info: 1. I am installing the software and services with Administrator permissions 2. The service has to run as soon as it has been installed, and run continuously. Any help on how to start the services would be helpful. Thanks in advance, Prasad

Error 997: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. where adminSvc is the service I installed. Some other info: 1. I am installing the software and services with Administrator permissions 2. The same software when installed using InstallShield does start the same services. Any help on how to start the services would be helpful. Thanks in advance, Prasad
