  1. It's doing it again... I made sure the IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service was enabled and started, it's still giving me trouble...
  2. Yeah, that's what I mean, open it for adding data. Hmmm... it went back to working. I don't know what was up with it for a while there... hopefully it just keeps functioning
  3. When I attempt to open a blank CD in an Explorer window it tells me ":\ D is not accessible; incorrect function". However, I can burn CDs with programs like iTunes or Nero. Any thoughts on why the simple open-the-blank-CD method doesn't work anymore?
  4. I can't IMAGINE a better solution - this is a fantastic way to do this. Thanks!
  5. Basically, I want to go through my massive MP3 library and make a top 100 list of songs. Yeah, it's kinda lame, but hey, I'm thinking up things to do on winter break other than sleep and emotionally recover from finals. ;-) So I figured I could put my song list into a text file or spreadsheet or whatnot and then use that with some other program to move those entries up and down accordingly... And might I add, I've seen this sort of thing implemented online - when drafting fantasy sports teams on Yahoo, the priority rankings lists are adjusted by clicking an up or down arrow to move the selected entry. And yet I have no idea how to pull that off... ;-)
  6. Is there any way to sort entire folders by their sizes? I'd like to go through my directories and subfolders to see what's taking up the most space, since file-by-file doesn't always tell the whole story on what program's hogging space... so is there any way to do this?
  7. I'm trying to find a program to help me rank a list of objects... basically, something to move objects up and down in a list. Is there an easy way to do this in, say, Excel or Access? And/or, any software recommended? It seems an easy enough task, but I have no idea what to use.
  8. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, and have a major problem... when I go to change the tags on my MP3s, an error message pops up after I select 'Properties' citing an error with wmasf.dll... anyone have any idea how to fix this? It used to work fine, I did a System Restore to a few weeks back and it made no difference.
