  1. It's really annoying when you've spent all night trying to fix a problem, and then discovering how simple it really was! It should be written in large red letters in nLite that you should always copy fresh files from the original windows cd! bleh.. well...well.. back to the task at hand.. I'm just guessing what is the session file, I found some ini files in the nLite preset folder. Thx for the help so far Siste_trinn.ini
  2. Always start with a fresh copy of the cd files you say, I should probably start doing that ( I sure don't hope that is the main reason for the blue screens). I haven't got the hang of all these abreviations yet. What does ENU stand for? I've tried the RyanVM update pack, but then I get an error message (with a non recommanded option to continue, so I didn't) about it not being for the norwegian version. I really don't know if it is fully localized or if it is English with MUI. What are differenses between them? (We have som special characters, æøå, here in norway and different format for date and time, but other than that I don't think its any different)
  3. I'm totally new at this custom xp install creation with nlite. My goal is to create a totally unattended install (norwegian) with all hotfixes and some of the most regular programs I use. So I downloaded Windows Updates Downloader, and found the norwegian SP3 download list (http://www.windowsupdatesdownloader.com/download.ashx?type=ul&id=17). Then I downloaded those, and added them in the hotfix section of nLite (of course sp3 in the service pack integration side). When nLite tried to "compose" the custom install I've set up, it started showing me some errors or choices: - Direct integration is not available for this update, do you want to . - "Microsoft .net Framework 1.1 hotfix(kb928366) options" and "This is not the expected type of hotfix" shows for a number of updates. - "File is newer than the one integrating" pops up at least 10 times. (ex. advpack.dl_) So I gather from this that not all updates are applicable for integration this way. I've tried to remove all the updates that show an error message, but I still get a blue screen when install is completed. So I decieded to remove all updates to see if that worked, and it does. My question is then, how do I know wich updates to integrate and which not to integrate?
