It took a while for the problem to come up again and the user to let me know. We tried the CTRL +ALT +DEL and locked/unlocked the workstation, but nothing happened. The files where not available until syncing again.

XP Professional desktop users are having trouble printing or connecting to Windows 2003 file server & print shares. If they Net View the server from command prompt, non of the visible resources appear. They go to My Computer > tools and synchronize. Everything starts working again, both printing resources and directory file share resources. Unable to find resolution for problem. Problem is mainly a frequent reported nuisance, but end-users are saying that this is not an acceptable work around. Thanks,
