  1. Never mind, I got it. I had to mess with the template a bit for it to actually 'take' the default font settings, then I copied it over to %userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates and it worked.
  2. First, i'm sorry for bringing up such an old post. Please bear with me as i'm very much a noob when it comes to Office. I am looking for an expanded answer to this question. I've been tasked to make this change for our initial Office 2007 deployments. I haven't found any way to disable the double spacing through the administrative setup so I found this solution. The first thing I did was follow the article here to configure the settings we would like to use as our defaults: http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-...11-6137320.html I then saved the file as a Word Macro-enable template (Normal.dotm) and copied it to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\12 and C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\12\MseNewFileItems directories (I wasn't sure where it would go, exactly, so it copied it to both locations.) This does not appear to work, when I open Office it uses the default settings. Furthermore, even when I open the template file in Word on a different machine, it doesn't seem to use those settings. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there some other steps I need to follow to make this happen?
