The thing is, I've installed from this CD, to the exact same machine before. It shouldnt read any faster than it did before should it? Im going to format later today, and if that doesnt fix it, i will seek out a new disc. Its just weird that the files i ripped out from disc B, also fail to copy from the complete disc A. I just hope a format fixes it.

This is the CD Im trying to use, its just a complete install of XP SP2 I've had for a while, and used it twice before, and it installs fine, so i know its not the CD. http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6203/realxp.jpg And this is the Stripped down version i made a while back to try out nLite, and it hasnt been in my PC until i took this screenie. http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7728/smallxp.jpg Its so weird, the first disc, while its a full install, mimics the 2nd disc, but instead of skipping the files, it just fails to copy. So in the end, im left with the exact same install the the stripped down disc would install. I've installed 3 times now, wiping windows, etc each time, everything short of a format. The disc could be bad, but do you have any idea how ironic itd be that the files would mirrow the 2nd disc? During the install, i get errors like "Cannot copy file: zClient.ex_" Can not copy to destination directory or something like that, then a spam of errors not being able to install components I'm at wits end here, if i cant fix it in another day, im formatting

I used nLite a while back to make a super-chopped version to test it out, installed it, played with it a bit, and removed it. That all went fine. Today, i got a real bad infected with a rootkit, so i deteld windows folder/etc to do a fresh install. But now, my UNCHOPPED verstion of my xp disc, is installed a chopped version?? Im NOT using the cd i made with nLite, but its acting if i am, it fails to copy all the files that it needs to, so there is no way i can install an un-nlited version, how do i fix this????
