  3. hi submix yes i have read through absolutely everything i can find dude........i have been to ibm website and have downloaded the sata drivers direct from them, now when ive extracted them, these are the files i have...... si3112.cat SI3112.inf Si3112.mpd Si3112.sys SiiSupp.vxd SilSupp.cpl SiWinAcc.sys TxtSetup.oem now i have followed the instructions on how to use nlite and add these drivers and then burn the disc.....is there something i am missing with these files? or is there anything else i have to modify to get them to install correctly? in otherwords is using nlite enough? as i dont see any of the file names loading when windows is loading files before it gets to the setup is starting windows bit (then blue screen)...why aint they being recognised? P.S...im losing sleep over this lol....it is frustrating the hell out of me. and if i had a floppy drive i would just try that lol...but i dont do i need to add any of these files manually anywhere in the i386 folder aswell? one more quik question once ive added the files with nlite i wouldnt still have to press f6 would i?
  4. hi there and thx for replying the problem is this bios sucks and has very and i mean very limited options due to it being an ibm machine......the only option at all to do with serial ata is enable or disable lol....if i disable it then it doesnt even get to the boot from cd part just gives a warning message.....so no luck there man!
  5. hi all im new to these forums obviously.....and found this site searching for a fix to my problem as its doing my head in after 3 weeks of trying allsorts....i have an ibm intellistation a pro model 6217 workstation and have a maxtor sata hardrive and need help installing my xp unatended versions.....now the problem is this i can install some unatended xp versions and not others......this is going to sound wiered lol......the versions that i dont want seem to install but the versions i want will not install...they get to the windows is starting bit then blue screen with the 0x7b code.....now the thing is this which is wiered to me.....the versions that will install dont seem to have been modified to let you install xp on a sata drive and install with no problems....but the ones that wont install at all and give me the blue screens are the ones that have supposedly added sata support????????.......now i am totally at my wits end with this....i have downloaded driver packs and added them to the unatended versions i have and then burnt the iso and still get the same errors....does anybody have any idea what is going on or what i can do? any help would be mucho aprreciated thx
