I'm running Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 on PCs with Optical Audio Output connected to a Denon 5.1 sound system (5 speakers) and I'm having problems to make the Center channel work properly. My motherboard is an Intel D925XCV and includes a flexible 7.1-channel audio subsystem based on an Intel high-definition audio codec (it has and Optical Audio Output). It's a Realtek Audio system with a Realtek Audio Manager software that allows to perform all different Audio Settings where the Default format for my configuration is "Dolby Digital Live 5.1" I watch DIVX, DVD, XVID and HDTV movies and most times I cannot find the setting to make my center channel work, so I have to modify my Audio Card to output just Standard Audio instead of the Dolby 5.1 that is the default for my system. With most movies the LEDs on my Denon does show that there is a 5.1 Dolby signal present with the 5 channels lit as if all channels where functioning, but there is nothing coming from the Center channel, so I have to lower my audio card setting to a standard one (DVD- 16bts/48000HZ), then the Center channel appears OK but the sound quality is not the same as when the Dolby is present. I'm convinced that even if some of the movies I try to play are not Dolby 5.1, my system should have the option to output any other Dolby format better than regular audio, probably Dolby Surround or any other Dolby that works with a Center Audio channel correctly ( that allows the dialog voices and sounds to be heard on the Center channel). I always have the complete and up to date Shark007's codec's installed (version 5.4.3 now) but there are so many settings to manage to many different codec's and audio configurations that probably I have set the wrong ones, so I'll appreciate any help regarding this matter. Thanks in advance, Ed
