  1. Youdaman. Unzipped (shades of WinZip...) . Now I'll create my boot disk. Thanks for snapping me out of it - i needed that.
  2. Thanks Submix - our previous posts overlapped... I've seen this tutorial. Step #2 includes running the exe, which I can't do on my 32 bit OS.
  3. I've googled more than you can imagine. The problem seems to be that the exe needs to be uncompressed to some 500+ files first. These files make up the store-bought version of the software, and need to be on the bootable disk. By the way - I didn't buy in-store because I got a really good deal online via the Ultimate Steal.. I'll continue to google away.
  4. Hi all, I purchased a and downloaded a 64 bit version of Vista Ultimate from Digital River. I now own the following files: boot.wim install.wim x14-63453.exe I'd rather not wait the 2-? weeks to receive media, so I'm really trying to make this work. I'm currently running Windows 2K (32 bit), so I can't run the setup file from Windows. I know I need to create a bootable DVD, but all the tutorials I've found to-date begin with "run the setup file." How do I create a bootable DVD to install Vista? Thanks!
