Thanks for responding. You are totally correct when saying I am VERY new. I am able to use the spread sheet and also MSword. I'm assuming I didi the double click to install because I'm able to create my own spread sheet and word doc. I have many e-mail attachments that I am un able to open. When I click on to RUN or SAVE, the box "blinks" then goes away. Leaving me with nothing to read. Do I un-install the trial?

I have Vista 64 bit. I have downloaded a free trial of Microsoft Office. Since then I have not been able to open anyh attachments with .xls or .doc What am I missing?
