  1. Thank you all for your help so far. I know several programming languages(Java,Ruby,Perl, etc, no C, C++, or C# though), it's just that Windows is not really my most comfortable environment, lol. I should start learning more For reference, a lot of Googling lead me to believe that it's a problem with running Ares (Galaxy) or uTorrent, or at least that was the conclusion of a few other people who had similar problems. I'm going to see if nothing happens without running either for a week, and then possibly switch software to see what works. Thanks!
  2. That was a great, detailed answer, thank you. I have two questions: One, how can I figure that out myself? Would be useful to know how to debug this type of error. Two, do you have an idea of what to use to replace AVG then? I have used it for years and I especially appreciate the fact that it doesn't seem to make my system go much slower (unlike the big evil programs such as McAfee and Norton). Thanks! ---EDIT: P.S. Would trying this LSP fix help? http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm If it could be related to software I've recently installed, that might repair something. I installed Winpcap and then uninstalled it a week or so ago, if that might be the problem. EDIT2: LSP fix didn't seem to find any problems, but that was after completely uninstalling winpcap (i actually just disabled/(set to manual) the service before).
  3. I got an error similar to this thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...1&st=0& I would really appreciate if someone could take a look at the files I have and tell me what I might suspect, I can't figure out what the cause is myself, but I don't know really how to look at these. Thank you for your help!! minidmp.zip
