OK, I will doublcheck the setup, I was able to resume setup by inserting the original CD and continueing on from there. I had to leave for work so I do not know if it went all the way through setup (But it was getting close when I left). I don't know what implications will be when I check it out as the install was giving me a lot of "unsigned drivers" prompts when it was setting up. Sorry if I seemed crabby, but it had been a long day.

<sigh>Dude, I did search. All "incorrect function asm" got me was some thread that never got resolved one way or another. So did you have anything constructive to suggest ? Or are you trolling here?

Hello: I keep getting an incorrect function error that points to the \I386\asm directory and then WINXP SP1 setup craps out(t-39). I have burned this as an ISO with NERO and made sure that the proper settings were used. What should I check?
