  1. I have a Dell Dimension E520 that has a C2D 1.8GHz CPU and 8GB of RAM in it. I'm running VMWare Workstation 6.5 (I tried VMWare Server 2 as well) with 3 VMs (2 Server 2003 and 1 XP Pro). The host OS is Vista Ultimate x64. When I try to copy a file from one of the 2003 servers to the Vista host I get an error on the 2003 vm saying something about not enough memory to complete the operation. If I check the System Event Log on the Vista host I see many Events with the ID 2017 (The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the server reached the configured limit for nonpaged pool allocations) and some 2021. Here's a list of some of the top memory users vmware-vmx.exe - 176K svchost.exe - 83K explorer.exe - 51K svchost.exe - 48K svchost.exe - 48K vmware-vmx.exe - 47K vmware-vmx.exe - 46K I'm able to copy from the 2003 VM to another physical Vista workstation though, so it seems like an issue with copying to the Vista Host. Anyone know how I can resolve this issue!? Thanks, Bisk
  2. I would like to try install Server 2003 on to a Neoware ThinClient to save on heat and power. I'm able to get drivers, etc from an old unit so that shouldn't be an issue. The issue at the moment is the install size; the ThinClient only have 512MB of flash. I was considering using nLite, but I'm not sure what can be stripped out to make a sub-512MB DNS and Domain Controller. Also, will I be able to get around Windows' preinstall hard drive size check? Any help would be appreciated.
